MEDIA RELEASE for "The Praises of His People”

“The Praises of His People”, the brand new live worship release from Covenant Award winner Chris Bray, is hitting Canadian Christian retailers May 26, 2015!

Making it’s debut on iTunes in March, “The Praises of His People” debuted at #23 on the Inspiration Album chart. Bray explains why he is so passionate about this particular project: 

"For several years I’ve wanted to create a project that is functional, that enables people to be able to enter into worship with God. The goal of this record was to create an experience that Christ followers could worship along with in their car on their way to work or throughout their day and feel like they are part of a larger church, together worshipping our Creator”

This record is a collection of well known contemporary Christian worship songs, a couple of modernized-traditional hymns and a few of his own original pieces. The first single, “Go” is already gaining momentum on Canadian Christian radio.

This isn’t the first time Bray’s music has garnered industry and media attention. "The Worship Album" (2009) garnered him two #1 hit songs, "Called" and "Finally Let Go" on the More Radio Canadian Christian industry radio chart, as well as winning, "New Artist of the Year" at the Gospel Music Association Covenant Awards that same year.

With the success of his first major release, Bray went on to release two additional full length studio albums. In 2011 Bray released "Let Hope Arise" which won "Modern Worship Album of the Year" and his song, "Pursue Me" (written by Chris Bray and Derrick Drover, featuring a duet with Curb Record's Marie Miller) was awarded "Inspirational Song of the Year" at the 2011 GMA Covenant Awards. This was followed up with his third studio release in 2013 titled, "Beloved Child of God" achieving numerous top 10 More Radio Canadian Christian radio hits and several GMA Covenant award nominations.
